I remember starting to develop our first web page in the early 1990s and being really one of the first foodservice and franchise companies to market to the world stage through the web. Since that time the site has evolved and grown in size obviously, but more so in content. We often hear from students, teachers and entrepreneurs that they use the articles, books and other resources on the site for learning, coaching and problem solving. We enjoy hearing the stories and over the years have tried to update the information by adding even more content.
In terms of content, we are happy to have any of our associates and colleagues, who would like exposure through our site, to provide us with a set of articles in PDF format and we will be happy to have them posted along with a link back to your site. Please feel free to send them along.
We are also happy to finally be able to provide better transactional services on the web. We can now sell our books directly with the addition of a PayPal service cart. Authors of related books may also feel free to contact me to have your book offered on our FHG site. We are looking for restaurant and franchise related content.
While we are not sure what, how or whether this Blog will evolve over time, our intent is to try and develop a Question and Answer interactive dialogue, rather than provide a simple monologue of what’s on our minds. While we expect to make comments here and there, we would much prefer responding to questions related to the restaurant and franchise industries, operations and related issues. By sending your questions to email@example.com, one of our senior people will respond to you directly as well as post the question and answer on the Blog for other to benefit from the dialogue.
We are also excited to announce that the CRFA has just published Canadian Restaurant Accounting, the national accounting standards approved by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. This book, in its second edition, is authored by Doug Fisher, President of FHG International Inc. You can find a link on line to purchase the book directly from the CRFA.
